I don't often give 5 stars. But what a winner. Popped in for a bit of lunch and ended up tasting some amazing food. Ordered Funchal eggs and it was delicious the sauce was amazing. My partner ordered New York burger and he was so happy with it, he said it tasted amazing. Finally we ordered a child's meal for my 10 YO and it came with scrambled eggs (or nuggets option) rice chips and salad what a treat, for a fussy eater she had it all. They serve cocktails and beers, coffees are great. All home made food. Pretty quick to get served and the food usual time you would wait. Prices are a bit more expensive then at the centre, however, you pay for what you get and it was brilliant. The staff was also lovely. Would return. ~ Mara S

We came across this place while we went to visit the tropical gardens, we went in for a snack and some drinks, this place is sooo relaxed , very clean ,beautiful decor and the staff were soooo friendly and seemed very proud to work there. This location is in a peaceful area of Monte, great relaxing vibe. On each table there were cards games so you could relax and enjoy a game or 2 with your friends and family. We really enjoyed this and spent hours playing UNO !!! so we went to visit this lovely place a few more times while we were in Funghal. The food is really delicious and very good quality, the vegan burger was fantastic! and you must have a taste of the desserts....Lovely collection of cheesecakes. Tolles Café, sehr netter Inhaber. Auch die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend an dem Tag. Leider wurde es dann plötzlich sehr frisch, auch im Lokal. Die Bowl mit frischem Thunfischsteak war lecker, wenngleich sie auch in Monte etwas teurer ist als in den in Funchal befindlichen Läden. Aber es muss ja auch den Berg nach oben bugsiert werden... ~ Doro

Überraschend gutes Angebot an schönem Touri-Hotspot. Schnelles und kompetentes Personal, äußerst freundlich noch dazu. Passende Sitzplatzverteilung und nettes, modernes Ambiente. Wer Kinder beschäftigen muss oder auch sonst länger verweilen mag, findet kleine Gesellschaftsspiele an jedem Platz. Meine absolute Empfehlung für eine kurze Rast zum Kaffee oder ein längeres Verschnaufen im Rahmen eines straffen Touriprogramms! ~ M. S

Hemos estado dos veces. A tomar algo y luego a comer. Las dos veces espectaculares. El sitio es precioso con una ambientación estupenda. La comida deliciosa y para tomar algo batidos, cafés tienen muchísima variedad y está todo exquisito. El personal súper amable, muy atentos y relación calidad -precio genial. ~ Maite

Wat een verrassende zaak! Sta je in de rij bij de Carreiros do Monte – die beroemde mandsleeënrit van Monte naar Funchal – loop dan even een klein stukje door en je komt op een prachtig plein. In de hoek zit één van de leukste koffiehuizen van Madeira. Gastvrijheid en vriendelijkheid staan hier centraal, en binnen is het gezellig en uitnodigend. Wij genoten van heerlijke mocktails met lokale lekkernijen – echt een aanrader om even neer te strijken. ~ Arend D

Nous nous sommes arrêté avant de partir pour une marche sur les hauteurs. Déjeuné en terrasse sous le soleil. Une salade Capri pour moi et ma femme et 2 verre de vin bien rempli. Le tout pour prêt de 40€ un peu cher du au verres de vin à 8€ chacun!!! L'endroit est calme et mérite le détour. ~ Olivier b

So grateful we stumbled upon this brunch spot! The service was excellent, our waiter was very attentive and happy to accommodate a few changes to our order. The food was delicious and surprisingly one of the most affordable meals we had in such a touristy area. Their Cappuccino Ferrero is a must try! The café has a modern vibe with two floors, and we loved the playful touch - each table had Uno cards and dominoes, and it looked like they offered even more table games. Just a short walk from the tropical garden, this place is a real find. Highly recommended! ~ Kate M

Waren so begeistert von diesem tollen Brunch-Café, dass wir es sogar zwei Mal während unseres Aufenthalts auf Madeira besucht haben. Die Tulum Tacos, sowie der Pistazien Kuchen und ein Ferrero Cappuccino waren unser Favorit! Ein kleiner Tipp: man kann sich UNO Karten ausleihen und eine Partie spielen! ☺️ ~ Tanja F

Sitio súper bien ubicado, la comida muy buena y muy bien relación calidad-precio. El ambiente es súper tranquilo y la decoración súper aesthetic. Las chicas que trabajan allí son un amor y además hablan español. Un sitio por el que tomar algo si estás por Monte, recomendado! ~ Lorena S

Restaurant superbe pour un petit dîner après le parc très bien situé sur la place. La nourriture est excellente et très original mention spécial pour les desserts à la pistaches qui sont excellents je recommande ! ~ Valentin G

Serdecznie polecam to miejsce. Wysoka jakość pod każdym względem. Bardzo dobra kawa i herbata. Zarówno słodkie, jak i posiłki na ciepło. Obsługa na wyskokim poziomie. Miło tu odpocząć od miejskiego zgiełku. ~ Andrzej

Wir waren am frühen Vormittag da und hatten ein verspätetes Frühstück bzw. ein frühes Mittag. Wir hatten das Avocado Toast und die Hähnchen Tacos. Beides war sehr lecker und empfehlenswert. UNO Karten liegen bereits auf den Tischen drinnen für eine Partie bereit. Wir saßen erst draußen jedoch hatte es angefangen zu nieseln, wir konnten jedoch problemlos umziehen und es wurden uns auch Decken angeboten. Das Personal, das Ambiente und das Essen ist super. Sehr ansehnlich zubereitet und preislich in Ordnung. Fußläufig von der Kirche und den Korbschlitten entfernt. ~ Maxi

We were welcomed warmly by the staff. The vibe in the restaurant is good, nice music and decoration. The service was very good and the food was also tasty. It was no problem to have a dish altered a little to make it vegetarian. There are enough vegetarian options on the menu as it is. Can recommend eating here! ~ Julia H
